Foothills Piano Festival presents "A Tribute to Liberace" by Christoper-Joel Carter

Christopher-Joel will play transcriptions of Liberace's arrangements, from all the periods of his career, and shine light on what was influencing him as a player, and what was popular at those junctures/years. In addition to playing these transcriptions, he will play a handful of Liberace's own compositions. Lastly, he will play some pieces in the style of Liberace, through his own lens, which include two of the pieces he played in winning the Liberace Piano Competition in 2008. Through this presentation, he hopes to spark an interest in the many genres, and joyous spirit in which Liberace shared with his audiences.
