6K4WATER is a 6K run/walk to raise money for NEVERTHIRSTWATER who dig wells and provide safe, drinkable water solutions for third world communities.
Our first year, we raised over $5,000. We have so far raised in excess of $38,000 over the 7 years we have been hosting the race.
700 million people lack access to safe water and many women must walk 6 kilometers every day just to gain access to the unsafe water they are able to find.
842,000 people die every year globally due to inadequate drinking water, sanitation and hygiene - That's approx 2,300 per day, which is one person every 37 seconds.
