Twin race to the Annapolis Striders Endless Summer 6-Hour Run, this is a “fat-***” style race held in January to benefit the Annapolis Light House Shelter of Maryland.
By definition, “FAT ***” is the name given to a series of low key runs that are frequented by experienced runners and walkers and characterized by the phrase, “No Fees, No Awards, No Aid, No Wimps.” Because the runs are not races in any sense, there is no guarantee of anything other than a course to run. There are no course marshals, and no course markers, and you should not expect any aid either. They are an exercise in self-help.”
Course:
A fat-*** style run along the dirt and paved trails of Greenbury Point Nature Center.
Copies of the map will NOT be available at race check-in. If you need a copy, click the image below to save the map and print a copy. The race starts at the Greenbury Point Nature Center.
The race begins in front of the Greenbury Point Nature Center on Bullard Blvd. and enters the trail behind the Nature Center. There are signs directing you at every turn of this 2.5 mile loop. Upon exiting the trail at the Nature Center (approximately 1 mile), turn right onto Bullard Blvd. then turn left onto Hooper High Rd. Follow Hooper High Rd. to Beach Rd. and out to the Severn River and back on the dirt trail. On return from the Severn River follow the signs back to Hooper High Rd. Follow Hooper High Rd to the signs directing you to the wooded trail that empties out onto Bullard Blvd and back to the Nature Center to complete the 2.5 loop.
