87th Annual Edison Festival Of Light

A quick note that the parade will go on rain or shine! Please come and bring your rain protection. We can not control the weather, but we are in constant contact with our local Meteorologist. Please plan to attend this festive event, but be prepared for the Florida elements. We have a great lineup for you, and it’s going to be a great parade.

Schedule Of Events:

5:15PM START - 5K Run
Well over 1,400 participants and thousands of spectators take over the streets of the Downtown River District.

7PM – 10PM - Grand Parade of Light

Named as the largest night parade in the Southeast, the Grand Parade is a two-hour extravaganza featuring national participants & local marching bands, floats, local government and law enforcement officials, clowns and much more.

5:30PM – Until End of Parade - Grand Parade of Light VIP Tent

Step into the VIP tent for an exclusive experience at the 86th annual Edison Festival of Light parade. Downtown Fort Myers is transformed into a craft lovers dream with exhibitors displaying their hand-crafts during the three-day Edison Festival event.
