Join us in downtown Belfast February 21 – 23, 2025 for the weekend. A safe and fun way to get out of the house this winter and the State of Maine Ice Carving Championship.

Come take a walk and visit the ice sculptures that will be located throughout downtown Belfast. Take a break and have a drink at one of the ice bars or participate in one of the many outdoor activities Belfast has to offer throughout the winter. If you’re visiting from out of town, make it a weekend!

Downtown Belfast can be enjoyed year-round

Hand tool carvers from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and Mechanical tool carvers from Noon – 2:00 p.m. Judging will begin promptly at 2:00 p.m.

Location: The corner of Main and Cross Streets in downtown Belfast. Across the street from event sponsor Rollies Bar and Grill.

Ice is provided as is pedestal to carve on. Carvers provide their own tools. All ice carvings judged by a panel of guest judges. First, second, and third place will receive cash prizes.
